The purpose of this module is to identify the role of high-performance teams, delineate how they are essential to successful resuscitation attempts, and recognize their impact on resuscitation outcomes.
This module focuses on timing, quality, coordination, and administration and explains how high-performance teams perform their roles in highly effective manners, resulting in superior performance and timing, which can translate to improved survival for patients in cardiac arrest.
Content in this module will also focus on team roles and dynamics, the role of a CPR coach, ways to increase chest compression fraction, how to measure chest compression fraction, use of feedback devices and physiologic response to adjust real-time CPR performance, and structured and supported debriefing.
At the conclusion, participants should be able to:
Recognize the impact of team dynamics on overall team performance
Model effective communication as a member or leader of a high-performance team
Evaluate resuscitative efforts during a cardiac arrest through continous assessment of CPR
