Description
The NIH Stroke Scale Training Program is designed to allow healthcare providers to return to the course after designated time intervals to refresh their skills and demonstrate their continued mastery of this tool by successfully assessing a series of test scenarios. Each of these test groups is equivalent in size and scope, but the scenarios in each test group are different in order to assure mastery of the scale over time. Once a test group is successfully completed, that series of test scenarios should not be repeated and you will be allowed to advance to the next test group. A CME/CE certificate may be claimed only once per test group, however, the certificate may be printed as many times as needed. The date within the certificate will reflect the date the certificate was originally claimed and printed. The program consists of: Instruction, Demonstration, and Certification. The certification course modules feature six groups, Group A, Group B, Group C, Group D, Group E and Group F. Each Group contains six (6) patients. The evaluation of one complete group is considered sufficient for a course completion certificate. Unless otherwise advised, you will normally begin with Test Group A. Then, you may use the additional tests to renew your course completion certificate, usually required between six or twelve months after you have taken and successfully completed the previous Test Group.
